STRUCTURE for ENVIRONMENT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several dams exist in the suburbs of Tokyo. Mountains have been dug down, rivers dammed, and nature has been ”Developed” by humans. Bit by Bit, small animals’ habitats have been deprived, but we people who live in the city are somehow too far away to realize the disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this proposal, a beautiful glass stage (island) is floating on the dam for urban people to visit. It is a delicate structure formed when the wooden frame’s buoyancy in the water balances the load of the entire building. This thin, porous structure in the water is beautiful for people and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
